Today I realized that I am a “Snapshot-ographer”.  I am not Photographer.
Photography is the process or art of producing images. Snapshot-ography is
me shooting from the hip quickly with a pocket camera and hoping for the best.
It is ridiculously, dangerously impossible to take photographs (art) while
simultaneously participating in the event. The artist in me wants to set up everything perfectly.
Lights, Camera, Action!
Hey, stop. You horses, cows, dogs, cowboys, armadillos go back to where
you started from and do it again with feeling. …..Not.
It is impractical and painful for me to pack a larger, better camera. That is one larger than pocket size while horseback or participating in any active event. It hurts when said camera is bouncing off of my ample bosom. It’s also financially painful considering how many cameras I’ve gone through this summer. Broke 2 lost 1. $90 vs $400 hmmm….

I am proud to be a Snapshot-ographer.  I love taking snapshots of moments in time.
Sharing with ya’ll. Keeping for myself.
I choose to participate in my life with everything I’ve got.
Being present in the moment. Shooting from the hip and hoping for the best.
Love,  Cowgirl Red……………..Terah

[…] That would be me.  I think Snapshot-ographer is more like it. I do not take photographs. I take snapshots. Snapshot: a casual photograph made typically by an amateur with a small hand-held camera. Or in my case…. an iPhone holstered to my hip from the back of my horse. :an impression or view of something brief or transitory. Yes, I am an amateur in oh-so-many-ways. […]
